چکیده

This research sought to determine the effect of selected milk protein polymorphisms on reproduction parameters 598 black and white Polish Holstein–Friesian cattle. The analyzed genes were kappa-casein (CSN3) beta-lactoglobulin (BLG). following reproductive indexes selected: age at first calving, interpregnancy period, calving interval, insemination index. influence identified genotypes course parturition in cows was also analyzed. Source data collected for each cow from beginning herd life its culling or end third lactation. Data amount semen portions artificial (insemination index), interval collected. A contingency analysis performed through tables using a Pearson’s chi-squared test CSN3 BLG genotype. results show that BB genotype gene associated with most favorable values indicators. In case significantly more than those other (p ≤ 0.05). No polymorphism indices observed. On hand, significant statistical differences obtained between AA genotypes. did not cows. To conclude, is performance examined herd.

The relationship between growth hormone polymorphism and growth hormone receptor genes with milk yield and reproductive performance in Holstein dairy cows

The aim of this study was to investigate the potential association between growth hormone GH/AluI and growth hormone receptor GHR/AluI polymorphisms with milk yield and reproductive performances in Holstein dairy cows in Iran. Blood samples of 150 Holstein cows were collected and their genomic DNA was extracted using Gene-Fanavaran DNA extracting kit. Fragments of the 428 bp of exon 5 growth ho...

Relationship between the somatic cell count in milk and reproductive function in peripartum dairy cows

The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of the somatic cell count (SCC) in milk on reproductive performance, such as pregnancy status in the prepartum period and ovarian function in the postpartum period, in dairy cows. Blood samples were collected every week from one month prepartum to parturition in order to measure the concentrations of 13,14-dihydro-15-keto-PGF2α (PGFM), estr...

Genetic relationship between milk urea nitrogen and reproductive performance in Holstein dairy cows.

The objective of this study was to describe the genetic and phenotypic relationship between milk urea nitrogen (MUN) and reproductive traits in Iranian Holstein dairy cows. Test-day MUN data obtained from 57 301 dairy cows on 20 large dairy herds in Iran between January 2005 and June 2009. Genetic parameters for MUN and reproductive traits were estimated with a five-trait model using ASREML pro...

Cows' milk protein-sensitive enteropathy

The possible role of cows' milk protein in prolonging diarrhoea in very young infants with acute infective enteritis was studied in 14 infants, 9 under the age of 2 months and 5 older than 6 months. Bacterial pathogens were isolated from the stools of 4 infants from the younger age group. After appropriate initial treatment the infants were maintained on a cows' milk protein-free formula. 6 wee...
